April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US She is one of a small category of females who have won medals in several Olympics. Alix klineman, who is competing for the first time at Tokyo's Olympic Games and will attempt to win her third gold medal. Ross is hoping to secure an Olympic first gold medal, but she is also aiming to win even more. At 39, this could be her final chance to do so. She's certain that the top prizes can be achieved. Ross said on NBC Boston that if they play their best, or play a great game and they are able to play well, the team will be able to win the gold medal. "I'm planning to test to have a bit of luck." Ross was born in California in the city of Costa Mesa in 1982. Her family lived in the area with her father, mother and younger sister. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of activities while at Newport Harbor High School. She was a basketball player and also ran the track as well as her volleyball skills in the indoors in her time as a college athlete. Though she excelled in indoor volleyball however, it was evident that her performance was above the average. According to her bio, she was a middle blocker and outside hitter on the volleyball court throughout her time in high school. Her efforts were recognized in 1999 when she was named Gatorade's Circle of Champions National players of the year. Her skills in volleyball earned her the Orange County Athlete of the Years trophy in 2000. While Ross and Klineman have been doing their thing from 2017 onward, the former had already been a major athlete on the beach prior to their team. In reality, she was a winner of numerous major events in the past with two different partners. one of which is the volleyball legend. She teamed up together with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and was also Klineman's trainer. Along with Kessy Ross, she won the World Championship in 2009, while racing in the international circuit. This duo went into winning a silver at the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor took home gold overtaking them. Ross Jennings was the replacement for May-Treanor as she announced her retirement. They both went on to take home the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics 2016. They were joined by Walsh Jennings. Ross was a college athlete for USC Trojans before the start of her professional career. She played during high school and in years prior to hitting the beaches as a professional. Ross's playing time with the Trojans was remarkable. As a freshmen in 2000 the Trojans' performance earned her the Pac-10 and NCAA the Freshman of the Year award. The team also saw her help in helping the Trojans get to their first Final Four. Her personal tragedy was a crushing loss during her sophomore year and yet she went on to repeat as an All-American. Through her last two years within the team, she guided the Trojans to the summit netting successive national titles. The individual accomplishments of her have established her as a volleyball legend. Ross was awarded the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the nation's best female collegiate player. Ross was a USC international relations student, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, never had the chance to watch her daughter become a beach volleyball superstar. In 2001 when Ross was a sophomore in USC her mother died of breast cancer. Ross holds her mother close to her heart. Margie, on the beach as well as in everyday life, continues to inspire her.
