Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. she is the current president and controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and grew up as part of a rich family. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who went on to own the Lakers and several other companies in the field of sports. When her parents split in 1972 and she started to feel in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. As a 19-year-old she inherited management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as the General Manager. Later, she founded in the Los Angeles Blades, a professional team of roller hockey. She also served as director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice president of the Lakers. Her father died in 2013, and his control over ownership of the Lakers was inherited by Buss and her five siblings through a family trust with each sibling having an equal vote. In 2013, she took over the presidency of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also co-owner of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling organization based in Los Angeles.
