De Armas subsequently portrayed Bond girl Paloma and Norma Jean, respectively in No Time to Die 2021 (James Bond) and Blonde (2022), a biopic based on Norma Jean. Blonde was the film that made de Armas the first Cuban nominated to win the Academy Award as Best Actress.
