Lauren Alaina, a native of Georgia's Rossville and raised in the area, swiftly rose to the top spot on American Idol season ten's competitors list. Her fame was due to both her unique looks and commitment to God. Born and raised in Rossville Georgia Lauren tapped into her talent of singing when her cousin got diagnosed with brain cancer. This encouraged Lauren to go after her singing dreams. During her stay at American Idol she quickly became acquainted with the winner Scotty McCreery.
